Acid lake/Kwaśne jezioro

Recently I bought WWF exercise book. “The human population of our planet is now consuming 50 per cent more natural resources than it can sustainably produce” – I read on the cover. “Humans will need two Earths to support our lifestyles by 2030 because we are draining the world’s resources so quickly”.

Few days ago someone shared this link. “Hidden in an unknown corner of Inner Mongolia is a toxic, nightmarish lake created by our thirst for smartphones, consumer gadgets. Dozens of pipes line the shore, churning out a torrent of thick, black, chemical waste from the refineries that surround the lake.”

The smell of sulphur and the roar of the pipes invades my senses. It feels like hell on Earth.” It reminded Miazaki’s animated film. Nausicaä lives in fantasy post-apocaliptic word. Her beloved Valley of the Wind is not far form acid lake. Fantasy and reality clash with. Toxic Jungle is waiting for us.

Wykreował je nasz głód smartfonów i innych gadżetów. Dziesiątki rur otaczają brzeg, wypluwając potoki czarnych, chemicznych ścieków z rafinerii otaczających jezioro.”

Smród siarki ryk huczenie rur poraża moje zmysły. Wygląda to jak piekło na ziemi.” Przypomniało mi to jeden z filmów Miazaki. Nausicaä żyje w fantastycznym, postapokaliptycznym świecie. Jej ukochana Dolina Wiatru leży niedaleko kwaśnego jeziora. Rzeczywistość miesza się z fantazją. Czeka nas Toksyczna Dżungla.
