Natural forces/Siły natury

In Italy, Easter Monday is known as La Pasquetta (Little Easter). Italians spend a day outdoors with their families or friends, they head off to vineyards or beaches. We went to Matera. Hundreds of people were exploring Sassi, a series of grottoes carved out of limestone. Most of the ancient caves are now homes, hotels and restaurants.

Still you get a sense of what it was like to live here over 9,000 years ago. I noticed a white dog with one eye – the other one, membrane-covered was dropping from empty eye-socket. The animal seemed not to care about his condition, he walked quickly and disappeared close to Cathedral built in 13th century and recently restored. The nature is strong.

I bought some fresh organic ginger, but I couldn't stand the taste. After several weeks the shoots pointed in. I decided I'll start growing it. I put the rot into the bowl with some soil – and it shoot! The nature has great power. Would it win over the destructive race of man, who once was out of the caves, forgot that also he's the part of it?

Pojechaliśmy do Matery. Setki ludzi przemierzało Sassi, groty wykute w wapiennej skale.
