Two figures/Dwie postaci

If you believe that world is our reflection, you’ll find confirmation. Angelo came to me in April. One day we saw in the street of Chełm a young person on crutches, with Ukrainian flag. She called for a lift, and was about to cross the border. Maria wanted to fight against Russians. We drove her to Hrubieszów, and left in the centre for Ukrainian refugees. Returning home I looked at the photo with Maria.

I saw two figures, different from each other. There was smiling Danka with big tummy who like to eat. She wants to be good and live, despite the failures. The other person has no illusions. She thinks that the world is evil. She’s crippled because people did her quite an injustice. She doesn’t appreciate live, and is driven by desire to die. In contrast to lazy Danka, she’s determined and knows her objectives…

„Maria” represents my secret personality, hidden in the darkness of the psyche. She lives in her own world, and nobody can get to it. My „bright side” tries to create, and „Maria” wants to destroy everything. She’s victorious, because I’m giving her strength. Her real name is Uniqueness: I subconsciously believe that suffering makes me exceptional. But it has nothing to offer, besides loneliness and self-hatered.

Jeśli wierzysz, że świat jest twoim odbiciem, to znajdziesz potwierdzenie. Angelo przyjechał do mnie w kwietniu. Pewnego dnia zobaczyliśmy na ulicy Chełma młodą osobę o kuli, z flagą ukraińską. Prosiła o podwiezienie, Maria chciała przekroczyć granicę, żeby walczyć z Rosją. Zabraliśmy ją do Hrubieszowa i zostawiliśmy przed centrum dla ukraińskich uchodźców. Wracając do domu, patrzyłam na zdjęcie z Marią.

Ujrzałam dwie osoby, różniące się od siebie. Była tam uśmiechnięta Danka z dużym brzuchem, która lubi pojeść. Chce być dobra i żyć, pomimo niepowodzeń. Druga postać nie posiada złudzeń. Myśli, że świat jest zły. Została kaleką, bo ludzie wyrządzili jej krzywdę. Nie ceni życia, kieruje nią pragnienie śmierci. W przeciwieństwie do leniwej Danki jest zdeterminowana i zna swoje cele.

„Maria” reprezentuje sekretną osobowość, ukrytą w ciemności psychiki. Żyje we własnym świecie, gdzie nikt nie ma wstępu. Moja „jasna strona” próbuje coś tworzyć a „Maria” to wszystko niszczy. Odnosi zwycięstwo, bo daję jej siłę. Jej prawdziwe imię to Wyjątkowość: podświadomie wierzę, że cierpienie czyni kimś specjalnym. Nie oferuje jednak niczego, oprócz samotności i nienawiści do siebie.
