Another one bites the dust

Nothing happens in the tiny place, but you need to talk about something on quattro panchine. We were sitting there yesterday, the same people on the same old benches. I argued with someone a little sooner, and was quite upset. “What happened to A.?” - I asked. “She died young!” I spoke with her once, few years ago, and accepted her Facebook invite. A. used to post her pictures quite often.

An overweight woman with the cigarette, home-made cake, the same friend, the same small town… She looked sad. To me, the photos were like a scream: “I'm still living!” The eternal question: is life just a temporary illusion? Sad A. left her people, food, small place she claimed to love… The world says: “Another one bites the dust” like in a song.

She's gone, but we're still here, talking about things we know, like burial methods. I listened to “sotto terra” (in the ground) and realized something. “If everything comes to this, we have no problems!” - I said to M. She looked a bit suspiciously. Life goes on because we all want it to be real. The suffering is inevitable, but it's reasonable price… “And another one gone/Another one bites the dust(Yeah)”

Otyła kobieta z papierosem, domowe ciasto, ta sama znajoma, to same miasteczko…

- rzekłam do M. Rzuciła mi podejrzliwe spojrzenie.
