Negative opinions/Negatywne opinie

After all, parents are the center of a young child’s universe.” - Susan Forward wrote. „And if your all-knowing parents think bad things about you, they must be true. If Mother is always saying, ‘You’re stupid,’ then you’re stupid. If Father is always saying, ‘You’re worthless,’ then you are. A child has no perspective from which to cast doubt on these assessments.”

When you take these negative opinions out of other people’s mouths and put them into your unconscious, you are ‘internalizing’ them. Internalization of negative opinions - changing ‘you are’ to ‘I am’ - forms the foundation of low self-esteem.” This happens because we did get programmed: in the case of computer, is done by machine leanguage or code, in our case by words.

My subconscious holds a secret that made me ashamed. My mother hated me. Her words would constantly put me down, and rob of self-confidence. The result was a massive sense of guilt. I denied it and pushed into the unconscious, but deep down I knew that a crime requires punishment. That’t why suffering is „good” – I deserve it. I’m holding negative feelings towards me just like the most important persom in the world: my mother did.

- pisze Susan Forward. „Jeśli twoi wszystkowiedzący rodzice źle mówili o tobie, musi to by prawdą. Jeśli matka zawsze mówi: ‘jesteś głupi’, znaczy to, że jesteś głupi. Jeśli ojciec ciągle mówi: ‘Masz zły charakter’ znaczy to, że go masz.
