Black Magician/Czarny Mag

Don Juan insisted that we live inside a bubble of perceptions, and what we witness on its round walls is our reflection. In the streets of Bari I saw a couple of times an interesting character: I called him Black Priest. A chubby old man of the cloth, with old-fashioned hat and a Rosary in his hand: the carrier of the good news in black. He wants to heal, but hasn’t healed himself.

He leads to paradise, counting our sins. He teaches that God is love that created this world full of misery… Despite I’m critical, he could be my reflection. In my mind, naturally multiple (according to Internal Family System theory) they are different „voices.” The most important are: Inner Mother, Critic and a Child. In my seeking God, I created a new one: Black Priest.

He was preaching all the time, convincing that the world is bad, and me as well. I listened gladly: his goal was to focus attention on my „sinful” ego. As a consequence I felt terrible, of course. „Self-importance is the motivating force for every attack of melancholy” – Don Juan noticed. My Black Priest is still there, but now I remember where listening to his preaching leads…

Wiedzie do raju, licząc nasze grzechy. Najważniejsze to: Wewnętrzna Matka, Krytyk i Dziecko.
