Anna Maria Przybysz

I found out about Anna Maria Przybysz only when she was gone. A young artist and illustrator at age of 25 she was already successful. Anna Maria appeared to have it all. She worked for big magazines, blessed with brain as well as beauty. The world was her oyster, she could have done anything.

She died of carbon dioxide poisoning, while having her bath. Everything was taken away from her – exept an inch. A quote from V like Vendetta by James McTeigue:

"I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish...

Except one.

An inch.

It is small and fragile

and it's the only thing in the

world that's worth having."

Think that "an inch" it's something "ours", that makes the difference between us and the rest of the world. Not everyone has got it, though. Anna Maria Przybysz was lucky to have it - and it did last, even when she's gone, thanks to her beautiful illustrations.

Dowiedziałam się o Annie Marii Przybysz, gdy odeszła. Młoda artystka i ilustrator, w wieku 25 lat była odnosiła już sukcesy. Wydawało się, że miała wszystko. Pracowała dla dużych magazynów, miała , inteligencję i urodę. Świat stal przed nią otworem, mogła dokonać wszystkiego.

Zmarła w wyniku zatrucia dwutlenkiem węgla, podczas kąpieli. Wszystko zostało jej odebrane – oprócz jednego cala. Cytat z "V jak Vendetta" Jamesa McTeigue:

Myślę, że "jeden cal" to coś "naszego", co wyróżnia nas od innych. nie każdy to ma. Anna Maria Przybysz miała to szczęście, że go posiadała - i on przetrwał, kiedy jej już nie ma, dzięki jej pięknym ilustracjom.
