The Queen from Cherry Orchard/Królowa z Wiśniowego Sadu

One from my mum’s stores: there was a woman called Queen from the Cherry Orchard. She was different and famous for her “love stories.” It happened once that someone saw her in the orchard having sex with two men. He shared the news in the village – literally all the tenants: men, women, kids and the elderly went to see the three lovers.

One from the men got angry – he took a branch of wood and was after them. The audience was gone, but after a while they were back again. The whole story is nothing but reality show: exhibitionism and sex. In early 60’ the Quinn seemed crazy, but today one wants some attention - having audience is important.

Jedna z historii mojej mamy: kobieta zwana Królową z Wiśniowego Sadu była inna niż wszyscy, znana ze swych historii miłosnych. Zdarzyło się, że ktoś zobaczył w sadzie, uprawiającą seks z dwoma mężczyznami. Podzielił się informacją na wsi – dosłownie wszyscy: kobiety, mężczyźni, starcy i dzieci pobiegli oglądać kochanków.

Jeden z mężczyzn złapał kawał gałęzi i zaczął ich gonić. Widzowie rozbiegli się, lecz po chwili wrócili na miejsce. Cała ta historia to nic innego, niż reality show: ekshibicjonizm i seks. We wczesnych latach 60. Królowa zdawała się szalona, dziś człowiek pragnie uwagi – posiadanie widowni jest ważne.
