The end/Koniec

The fire erupted in our kitchen. The neighbor – a lady in her seventies went to see what happened, and started to pour water on the flames. „Go away, the stove can explode!” - I cried. She didn't seem to care about the danger. I looked at the old lady, smoke and flames, and couldn't help but thinking that she wanted to die…

They are asylum seekers asking for money in Bari. A black guy approached a woman on the street. „I'm hungry!” - He insisted. „Go away!” - She said. „You are angry? Why?” - He asked… I observed the 11-year-old F. The kid walked around staring at smartphone. It looked like she loosing touch with the real world.

My husband is listening to radio in the morning. Trump, Siria, North Korea… The threat of a third world war has become alarmingly real, they say. The consequences would be devastating… But actually they are many people who are tired of this world, and believe that „the end” would release them from the sufferings.
