She
was admitted to hospital when she got ill. There was no Oncology
Ward, she needed to go to an institution which provides cancer
treatment. A doctor spoke to her during ward-run. “I'm inviting you
for a private consultation!” - He said. “I'll give you relegation
to another hospital.” A young doctor on probation remained in the
room when he was gone.
“I'm
emigrating to Sweden!” - He told her. “How could he say that
he'll give you relegation privately!”. She went through surgery and
chemotherapy, but about one year later the cancer was back. Her
doctor however refused to give her more chemo. “I can't see
anything on the last tomography scan, you've to wait for another
one!” She was admitted to the hospital after her health
deteriorated.
Despite
the cancer was confirmed, her doctors still refused to treat her
because of the complications. For about three months the hospital was
sending her back. One young female doctor told her: “I feel sorry
for you! What's the point to ride about like that? You need to find
yourself a doctor!”. She was given chemo, but it was too late.
Since she's gone, I can't look at Merci chocolates. She would always
buy it for the doctors.
Została
przyjęta do szpitala, kiedy zachorowała. Nie było tam onkologii,
musiała leczyć się w placówce, która zajmuje się rakiem.
Rozmawiał z nią lekarz podczas obchodu. “Zapraszam do mnie na
prywatną wizytę!” - powiedział. “Dam pani skierowanie do
innego szpitala”. Kiedy sobie poszedł, w pokoju pozostał młody
doktor stażysta.
“Wyjeżdżam
do Szwecji!” - oznajmił. “Jak on mógł powiedzieć, że da pani
skierowanie prywatnie!” Przeszła operacje i chemioterapię, ale
rok później rak powrócił. Pomimo tego jej lekarka odmówiła
kontynuowania chemii. “Nic nie widzę na ostatniej tomografii, musi
pani czekać na następną!”. Stan zdrowia się pogorszył,
przyjęto ją do szpitala.
